Welcome
Sama sits in Sayq, above the terraces where roses bloom in April and pomegranates ripen in September. Mornings begin with coffee on the cliff; evenings end under a sky full of stars, ten degrees cooler than the coast.

Stay
Every room faces either the canyon and the sunset, or Sayq village and the sunrise. The chalets sit in their own garden beside the pool.

Days here

The Peak, our coffee shop on the terrace, opens at seven for the sunrise and stays open until ten at night, long after the lights of Sayq have come on.
The Peak
An outdoor pool and jacuzzi right on the edge, with a shallow pool for children beside it and loungers that face the drop.
See the rooms
The terraced villages are a short walk away. Come in April for the rose harvest, September for pomegranates, any month for the quiet.

Getting here
Take the road through Nizwa and Birkat Al Mouz, then climb. The last stretch, with the canyon opening beside you, is the best part of the drive.
The police checkpoint at Birkat Al Mouz does not allow two-wheel-drive cars up the mountain. Without a 4WD, park at the checkpoint and let us bring you up.
Fill up in Nizwa or Birkat Al Mouz — it is the last petrol station before the climb.
No deposit and no card details online. Your booking is confirmed by email and WhatsApp, and you settle by cash or card at check-in.
